| Frequently
Asked Questions
Food
- "Do I need to bring food or does the kennel
provide it?"
We can supply food at a cost of .50 cents per cup. However, we
recommend that you supply your dog with their own regular food to avoid
any discomfort that might be caused by a change of
diet.
Bedding
and Toys - "Can I
bring my dog's favourite toys? What about his bed?"
Feel free to bring your dog's toys. Just remember that small
toys, bones, and rawhide pieces may present a choking hazard to your
dog. Beds are not necessary. Pleasant Park Kennels has lots of beds
and blankets to provide, at no extra cost. If you must bring a bed,
please remember that if your dog has an accident on it, we may not
be able to clean it. Also, even the best dog may decide to chew on
his bed while boarding! Please do not bring travel kennels or
crates, as they are quite large and take up a lot of your dog's
kennel space. If you need a crate to transport your dog and are
going on a vacation, Pleasant Park Kennels cannot store crates while
your dog is boarding.
Vaccinations -
"Does my dog need certain vaccinations? Do I
have to supply a record of them?"
Yes!
Your dog must
have all standard vaccinations up to date, including the Bordetella
vaccine (kennel cough vaccine) and Lepto vaccine in order to be eligible for boarding
and daycare. For dogs that have not had the required vaccines yet,
they must have it at least 7 days before boarding in order to be
allowed to board or attend daycare or grooming.
Please bring your vaccination
certificates with
you.
Bath Before Home -
"I would love my pet to have a bath before I
pick him up. Can you give him a bath?"
Yes we can! Just make sure to request it
when you drop the dog off and ask about our grooming prices.
Legal
- Pleasant Park Kennels reserves the right to refuse service to any
dog or breed we feel in our sole discretion might be a risk to the
safety of our staff or other pets.
